The York Region Youth Orchestra is proud to announce the launch of our new Choral Program. We are looking for passionate young singers to join us for a season of musical excellence, professional training, and community performance.
1. Choir Divisions & Age Groups
Junior Choir: Ages 10 – 14
2. Rehearsal & Performance Schedule
Season Duration: October 2026 – June 2027
Rehearsals: Thursdays 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Performance: Two (2) Major Concerts per season + outreach
3. Membership Fee & Details
October, 2026 – June, 2027 / $999 +tax

4. Audition Information
Are you ready to sing? Join the York Region Youth Choir! We welcome new singers all season long. Auditions are held year-round by appointment, Thursdays at 6:00 PM before rehearsal, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
Audition Times
By appointment, Thursdays at 6:00 PM (before rehearsal). Request your audition time using the Choir Audition Form.

Audition Fee: $50 + HST
Audition Requirements:
Prepared Song:
✓Perform one song of your choice (any genre)
✓Ear Training: Pitch-matching exercises.
✓Rhythm Test: Basic rhythm and beat response.
✓Voice Testing: Vocal range assessment through scales.
✓Melody Copy: Listen to a short melody and sing it back.
